AUDIENCE: This web site is for all faculty, staff and administrative personnel at Georgia College & State University who have an interest in our transition to the USG-hosted WebCT Vista service. This transition has already begun and will reach its first important milestone on 12/31/06 when students and faculty are all automatically enrolled in Vista Course Sections for the Spring '07 semester. At that time, trained faculty will be able to begin teaching their students using Vista's vastly improved tools and new features. With WebCT Vista, teaching and learning at GCSU should be more productive and enjoyable than ever before.

WHAT IS VISTA? For those not familiar with WebCT Vista, it is a web-based, enterprise-level Learning Management and Content Management System (LMS/CMS). You can learn more about Vista here. The area of primary interest to faculty is the Vista Virtual Course Environment where content is assembled and organized and where facuty interact with students and students with one another. Vista can also be used for non-teaching activities such as collaborative projects that benefit from being independent of time and place requirements.
